Protocol

1. Mix sample, provided biotinylated-detection antibody and provided streptavidin-HRP.
2. Apply sample and antibody-HRP complex to ELISA plate for 60min at 37^oC.  Wash 5 times.
3. Apply chromogens, incubate, then stop reaction.

Introduction to sAPP beta:   

sAPPbeta is the extracellular soluble fragment of amyloid precursor protein (APP) cleaved by beta-secretase into a 654 amino acid peptide. Cleavage of APP by beta-secretase in the extracellular domain is the first cleavage processing step generating amyloid-beta peptide.  Membrane embedded gama-secretase subsequently cleaves APP within the transmembrane domain and generates amyloid-beta peptide of variable lengths.¹ This sAPP beta ELISA detects the sAPP beta peptide in cell culture medium and biological fluids, including CSF.
