Pre-pulled glass micropipettes with micrometer (µm) diameter tips

Glass micropipettes are available with a range of parameters to meet your research needs for a wide spectrum of technical applications from chemical and biological engineering to electrophysiology and microinjections. 

Micropipette (Microcapillary) Options Summary

  • Tips of pre-pulled micropipette inner diameters (ID) ranging from 0.3 to approximately 100 µm. Sold in packs of 30 or 100 pipettes.  
  • Borosilicate glass micropipettes options include 1, or 1.5 mm base ODs, 4.5 or 5.5 cm lengths, with or without internal filaments, long tapers with customized tip IDs, and luer locks.
  • Ratio of outer diameter relative to inner diameter at the tip and at the base is: 1.3:1 for each pipette

Tip Inner Diameter (ID):  0.3 - 70 µm (depending on request)
Outer Diameter at Base (OD):  1 or 1.5 mm (Use Table Below to chose)
Pipette Length:  4.5 cm (other sizes upon request)
Tolerance of Tips' IDs:  ± 20%
Outer Diameter at Tip: Ratio of OD:ID = 1.3
Tip Taper length:  2-5 mm;  (5+ mm upon request) 
Wall Thickness at Base:  0.17 mm
Glass: Thin-wall borosilicate, with or without internal filament (depending on request). Tip is not fire-polished, base is.

Pricing:

30 Pipettes Pack: $289 for most part numbers.

100 Pipettes Pack: $849 for most part numbers.

Pipettes with long tapers (5-10mm) with custom tip IDs generally cost $395-$495.  

Mixtures of pipette tip sizes in a 30 pack order can be requested at additional cost (+$30 for two tip sizes, +$60 for 3 tip sizes).  

Luer Locks in a 30 pack:  cost $90 above base price.

Warranty:  Pre-pulled glass micropipettes are manufactured to substantially conform with descriptions on this webpage.  Variability exists in the manufacturing process, estimated from 10-20%, with respect to tip diameter, taper length, and tip angle within and between lots.  The customer should communicate any specialized requirements, including variability restrictions within and between lots.  Specific applicability, fitness and merchantability are not warranted.  Warranty compliance is through replacement, partial or full refund according to Fivephoton Biochemical's discretion.
