Pre-pulled Glass Micropipettes (Microcapillaries), µm Diameter Tips

We offer calibrated pre-pulled borosilicate micropipettes for a wide spectrum of technical applications from chemical and biological engineering, microfluidics, 3D printing, package integrity testing, electrophysiology and microinjection at a competitive price.  Glass micropipettes are available with a wide range of parameters to meet your research needs.

  • Tips of pre-pulled micropipette inner diameters (ID) ranging from 0.3 to 70 µm.  Sold in packs of 30 or 100 pipettes. 
  • Default glass tube specifications:  1mm base OD, 5.5 cm length, WITHOUT internal filament. *See Default Pipette Specifications below, or make request for these additional options.  Additional options for glass micropipettes that are available on request: 4.5 or 5.5 cm lengths, 1, 1.2 or 1.5 mm base ODs, with or without internal filament, long tapers and customized tip IDs can also be requested. 
  • Ratio of outer diameter relative to inner diameter at tip is: 1.3:1 for each pipette.
  • All pipettes are calilbrated, and are available with certificates of compliance.

Micropipette (Microcapillary) Options Summary 

Micropipette Parts MGM 1A-D are pre-pulled from borosilicate glass tubes providing available tip inner diameters (ID) from 0.3 to 70 µm, base outer diameters (OD) 1, 1.2 or 1.5 mm, lengths 4.5 or 5.5 cm, and 0.17 mm wall thicknesses, depending on the customer's request.  Micropipettes generally cost $489 for 30 pipettes (microcapillaries) that are pre-pulled from borosilicate glass tubes with 1 or 1.5 mm base outer diameters, 4.5 or 5.5 cm lengths and 0.17 mm wall thicknesses. 
 
Pipettes with calibrated long tapers with custom tip IDs generally cost $519-$560.  Mixtures of pipette tip sizes in a 30 pack order can be requested at additional cost (+$30 for two tip sizes, +$60 for 3 tip sizes).  
 
100 pipettes/pack$1229 for most part numbers.
 
Default Pipette Specifications:  Unless requested, default specifications for base OD, length and filament are as follows:  1mm base OD, 5.5 cm length, WITH internal filament. (The internal filament is a thin glass rod in the interior of the pipette barrel that provides an additional surface and assists with siphoning and dispensiing).

Warranty:  Pre-pulled glass micropipettes are manufactured to substantially conform with the descriptions on this webpage.  Variability exists in the manufacturing process, estimated from 10-20%, with respect to tip diameter, taper length, and tip angle within and between lots.  The customer should communicate any specialized requirements, including variability restrictions within and between lots.  Specific applicability, fitness and merchantability are not warranted.  Warranty compliance is through replacement, partial or full refund according to Fivephoton Biochemical's discretion.
