COX-2 (Cyclooxygenase-2) ELISA KIT
 
Sensitive and selective colorimetric ELISA kit to COX-2 with assay range 1.09-70 ng/ml.  This kit employs a monoclonal antibody percolated (IBL Anti-hCOX-2(13H14) Mouse IgG MoAb) to the plate and a polyclonal HRP-conjugated secondary antibody (IBL HRP conjugated Anti-hCOX-2 Rabbit IgG Fab’ A.P) to COX-2.

COX-2 Background
Cyclooxygenase (COX), or prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase  (PTGS), is an enzyme that catalysis the production of prostanoids  including thromboxane and prostaglandins such as prostacyclin, from arachidonic acid.
COX inhibitor provide relief from the symptoms of inflamation and pain. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug  (NSAIDs), such as apirin and ibuprofen exert their effects through inhibition of COX. Those that are specific to the COX-2 isozyme are called COX-2 inhibitors.

Methods Overview
  1. Equilibrate plate to RT
  2. Add sample to plate, incubate 60 min at 37oC, then wash
  3. Add detection antibody, incubate 30
  4. Add color reagents
  5. Add stop solution.  Measure OD at 450nm
