Overview:
The Viral Nucleic Acid (DNA/RNA) Mniprep Kit is suitable for rapid extraction of high purity viral nucleic acid. The kit is based on the silica gel column purification method. The sample is homogenized in the lysis buffer and the nucleic acid is released into the buffer. The lysis buffer contains a high concentration of guanidine, allowing absorption of nucleic acids to a silica gel. After washes of the gel, the nucleic acid is eluted with a low salt buffer. The eluted nucleic acid is now suitable for PCR.
